Water Specialist Conference & Exhibition 2025, Shaping the Future of Malaysia’s Water Infrastructure

​Recently, Rowy had the privilege of attending the Water Specialist Conference & Exhibition 2025, hosted by the Malaysian Water Association. The event gathered industry leaders, engineers, and solution providers to discuss the latest innovations and best practices in water infrastructure management.

Renowned representatives from SMHB Engineering Sdn Bhd, Minconsult Sdn Bhd, HLA Associates Sdn Bhd, Excel Pipe Sdn Bhd, Sepakat Setia Perunding Sdn Bhd, and Impreg (M) Sdn Bhd shared their expertise during the conference sessions. Their insights highlighted the importance of strong collaboration between engineering firms, consultants, and solution providers in ensuring sustainable and reliable water systems for Malaysia’s growing needs.

Key discussions centered around designing and planning water pipeline systems with best practices and regulatory compliance in mind. Emphasis was placed on optimizing the pipeline lifecycle from procurement and installation to long-term maintenance to ensure efficiency and durability. ​Another critical topic explored was managing construction challenges, such as addressing gaps in subsurface investigation (SI) data, handling as-built drawings of existing infrastructure, and overcoming on-site constraints. These sessions shed light on how modern engineering approaches, supported by technology and proper planning, can significantly reduce risks and improve project outcomes.
