HDPE Pipe For Water Supply Specifications

HDPE pipe is the acronym for high density polyethylene pipe. HDPE poly pipe comes in a variety of specifications. In Malaysia, the common HDPE pipe grade used is PE80 or PE100. HDPE PE100 pipe is the improvement of HDPE PE80. HDPE PE100 has a thinner wall thickness and lighter weight than HDPE 80. Both HDPE PE100 and HDPE PE80 have similar hardness and strength.

The standard HDPE pressure pipe grades will be classified as  HDPE PE100 and HDPE PE80, which are using pressure nominal metric. PN 6 has the lower pressure resistant, while PN 16 has higher pressure resistant.
